4Musics FLAC to MP3 Converter is a simple and straightforward audio conversion tool that allows you to convert any number of FLAC audio files into MP3 tracks in one single operation thanks to its batch conversion capabilities. Despite what it name says, MP3 is not the only audio output supported – the program offers you a number of codec-based output presets which you can easily adapt to your preferences.
The conversion process itself does not add anything new to the hundreds of conversion processes out there, but it is worth noting that the file selection process allows you to select a folder with FLAC files in it. The conversion settings are always present in the main interface, which simplifies the whole conversion process. Here you can select the output format (not limited to MP3), customize the output quality, and add some basic tags to the resulting files. Other settings, namely the preset editor and the renaming settings open in different windows. There you can either choose one of the existing presets and adjust it to your preferences, which include the tags that will be added to the output files when applying that profile. You can also set the program to rename your audio files using the information embedded in their own tags.
The program itself works like a charm – it is fast, flexible, and great for converting large amounts of FLAC files. If only it would accept some of the other audio formats in the input side, it would become an excellent option to consider.
